Riot Games has announced the arrival of Iso, a Chinese mercenary, as the 24th agent in Valorant. He will be deployed alongside the launch of Episode 7 Act III on October 31. The update also brings a new battle pass filled with cosmetic rewards.

Abilities Overview

Iso's kit revolves around four abilities that give him a unique edge in combat. His signature ability, Double Tap, activates a focus timer; when it expires, any enemies Iso eliminates produce orbs that he can collect to form a protective shield. This encourages players to stay aggressive and secure kills for added survivability.

His second ability, Undercut, fires a molecular bolt that can pass through walls, allowing him to damage or flush out opponents hiding behind cover. Contingency creates a wall of energy that stops bullets, providing temporary shielding for himself or his team during pushes or retakes. His ultimate, Kill Contact, launches a beam of energy that forces the first enemy hit into a one-on-one duel. Only one duelist will walk away, making this a high-risk, high-reward tool for clearing key positions.

Battle Pass Rewards

The Episode 7 Act III battle pass costs 1,000 VP (roughly $10) and contains a variety of unlockable items spread across its tiers. Standout rewards include 2,000 Kingdom Credits at Tier 5 and the Mythmaker base pistol skin at Tier 10. Other cosmetics available through the pass include the "Don't Ask," "In the Zone," and "Callsign" sprays; the "Valorant Iso" and "The Hourglass Turns" player cards; the "Tuned In" and "Fixer" titles; and a gun buddy called "Peripherals." Additionally, players can earn the Silhouette Guardian and Libretto Operator weapon skins, as well as the The Big Bet and Fragger's Fall sprays. The remaining tiers follow a similar pattern of cosmetic and currency rewards.

Release and Agent Lineup

Iso becomes the latest agent to join the Valorant roster, following Deadlock (introduced in June) and Gekko (added earlier this year). Episode 7 Act III is set to go live on October 31, bringing the new agent and battle pass to all players.
